Adding your website to a new paypal accout that was on a limited paypal account?
 

I have a customer emailed me very interested in a product listed on my website.

Is it going to be a problem if i link my website which was linked to a previous limited paypal account via API.

Will this break my new paypal account?

100%, yes

If any paypal was attached to your website and got limited you can never ever use paypal on that website again. Sorry

Agree - fidn a merchant processor that accepts paypal and you will be good to go. I don't know Nochex well but I use CCNow for that.

If you would like to sell the products on a site and use PayPal you could setup a second website. Hosting is dirt cheap. New domain name, new host, new pictures, new email, etc.... All new, nothing the same at all. Including descriptions. Nothing the same but the products naturally.

I've done it and its fine. But PayPal is PayPal so still all the same risks with limit issues and so on. Best to have other ways to collect payments so when PayPal limits you, you can just turn it off until fixed. I had a site that was using paypal, got limited at one point, turned it off, fixed limit a couple weeks later, turned it back on...

You could also open a new domain and use your old site to forward to your new one so it looks like the trasactions are comming from another site

So true TizWoz but not much other option - well for me anyhow - supports Paypal and buyers be happy.

Pretty risky. A manual check and you are screwed. Much safer to create a whole new site

Don't quite know why paypal would check a site that is not even registered with them and its not that simple the way i have things set up, they would have to commit to purchasing a product before the redirect takes place

the guy was looking for options, i was just offering one that hadn't been mentioned, i have done it that way on one of my sites for about 3 years now and its one of the biggest in the u.k for what i sell, there are also massive advantages to doing the way i mentioned but I'm not about to divulge that information

on another site i use ccnow but i lose a lot of revenue, 4.9 % then there conversion rates, not ideal for physical items but if you in the u.k

I see. I thought you were simply redirecting all xxx.com traffic to yyy.com right out of the gate.
