Withdrawal from Stealth Paypal
 

Hi, I am a bit concerned as I recently set up ebay and paypal stealth accounts, on Saturday 20th Nov I withdrew £250 from my new paypal stealth account to my Alliance & Leicester bank account, I had an email from paypal saying that the funds should be in my bank account by the 24th Nov, it is now the 25th and they are still not there..

Has anyone experienced delays like this before? Am I still likely to receive the money? The bank account number and sort code on the paypal stealth account are obviously mine but they are in my 'assumed' name on paypal, I gathered that this should not be a problem for withdrawing?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I'd not rely on paypal to give you an exact date for the transfer to go through. Of late, some UK banks have taken longer than usual. One point a transfer on a Saturday can often be delayed in getting to your bank account. For future, try to time transfer during regular bank trading hours. Helps with the worry just a little but more :pop2:

Have you logged into paypal to check that status shows as 'completed'. Funds do not leave paypal until status changes from 'pending' to 'completed', which normally takes anything from few seconds to 1 week as has been reported by others here

Can I kindly ask how you have managed to link your uk paypal stealth account to your real bank account, no problems with names setting up the direct debit statemt.

no, no problems, just put the name you have on PP on the mandate

the bank and PP do not share that info - IE your name.
