Possible Delivery problems on new account
 

Hi

First time poster so bit of a newbie. Need Help!

I have an ebay account with little feedback and a new paypal account. My other Paypal account is not linked to my new paypal account. I set up a new one as a backup and thank god i did.

Long story short.

I Sold a second hand Macbook on ebay for £900. Took the pictures etc myself, all good.

A buyer bought it and payed straight away and I shipped the macbook with a tracking number and insured! Now the buyer has emailed me saying that he hasn't received it. (I checked and it says delivered).

Im being really nice to him and telling him to wait a day or two.

BUT I want to get the £900 out of my paypal account and put it in my real one.!! I have a feeling he will try a chargeback!!!!!

I HAVE proof of purchase but I sold a phone years ago with proof and paypal still sided with the buyer!! Im afraid of this happening again.

I went to the Police before and they said they cant get involved in civil matters and that they don;t know if i shipped the phone either. (Even with the proof)

The second one is set up in my mates name but he gone back to poland and says i can use it.

I literally have I'd say 2 days until he tries charge back!!

Im thinking of setting up a BIN for £900 on my ebay account and making a new ebay account and just buying it, then using the £900 in my paypal to pay it (Pay me)

What do you guys think???

With something that expensive you should have got delivery with signature of intended party only... That way there would have been no denying it. Even with a charge back PP would have showed the CC company the proof, and you would have even won the chargeback so that's a lesson to be learned. As for your current situation why didn't you just withdraw the money? After one business day the transaction can't be reversed. So if you withdrew on a Tuesday, and the CB came on Thursday, too bad for them, the money is no longer in PP's possession.

What shipping did you use?

For that much money I would be calling his local sorting office, and find out if there is a problem.

You have to be smart and quick.

1. send you money to your friend!! ASAP!!! TODAY!!! before he files a paypal claim!
2. if you have proof of delivery of this address, paypal will investigate and will not make a chargeback, same is for ebay
3. seems to be one of these buyers who try with all means to get a refund for a received item. doublecheck with the postal service and relax

You shipped, item was delivered, money is yours!!!!!

No - don't touch the money in your pa yp al - you WILL be limited. You have to wait for reception. You must be patient or you will lose the account. If you have tracking + sig. confirmation, you must wait. IF you don't - then you are in problem with electronics.
