Deposits sent on the 18th, still not here!
 

how long should it take? I normally get them in a few days.

These accounts are new types.. called "net savers" internet only accounts but they accept bacs and DD's

That's not acutally the issue even with an online/internet bank account.

If you did the trasaction during branch opening hours on the 18th, then the time to receive the deposits starts from close of business that day. But if you did it online when in fact the branch is closed, transfer does not start until the next business day..... it's a trick of banks to get that interest on your money. (They deny this but ;) ) You might be caught this time.
What you could consider for future reference is asking the bank what time you should do an online deposit to get the money quickly :pop2:
