New bank accounts for paypal?

Hi, iam after opening some new bank accounts for Paypal.
I was wondering if ING direct & Tesco Bank accounts works with Paypal?

Also has anyone have any other banks that can be recommended?

Hope you guys can help.
Thanks

I have heard issues with ING accepting deposits in with other names than account holder.

Tesco Bank I have no experience but the Tesco food chain has solid activity /memories of Europe.

All the best.

Natwest works for me - current account plus - you can apply online

Imakemoney 02-25-2011 11:41 AM

I would highly reccommend Cooperative and Natwest.

They both currently accept incoming direct debits from stealth accounts (using stealth details)

I can confirm this.

If your still looking for banks, Lloyds TSB Current account with online banking is great. Ive opened up 2 extra savings accounts online and instantly with this account. So now 3 stealth accounts for kind of 1 lloyds current with 2 savings :)

Also natwest are great with savings of coarse and RBS works fine with savings again

So always remember when opening a bank account try to get a savings account too because they also can be used to open and verify a stealth account :)

Hope this info helps

But also remember not all savings accounts work.

Does anyone currently have an up to date list of which UK banks savings account work with paypal?

pidge90 03-01-2011 06:46 PM

Well just above you are 3. Lloyds E-Savings and Easy Saver both work. Along with RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) and the good old natwest savers account.

So theres a good start for you :)

lloyds isa works

Alps_a somewhatlegend 03-17-2011 10:16 PM

^ update - it stopped working for me today - i have another post saying what happened if anyone is interested.

Imakemoney 03-18-2011 08:37 AM

Yea i reckon theres no point bothering with any isa's they dont work for any substantial amount of times.

Im currently using a Natwest savings account and thats all working fine.

Alps_a somewhatlegend 03-18-2011 10:10 AM

Is that just isa's with lloyds or most banks that it does not work?

Imakemoney 03-18-2011 10:25 AM

Ive heard that most isa's dont work.

Why not just stick to savings accounts? theres plenty of banks out there to give you current accounts (several with each one) and then if you open up savings accounts with each you should be laughing...

Alps_a somewhatlegend 03-18-2011 12:32 PM

^ thanks.... I was just wondering about the isa's as it was somethng extra for me and it was fun for me watching the isa account filling up weekly! (hmmmm.... the lamest things put a smile on my face!... I need to get some kinda life!)

Nice 1 for getting back so quick with a reply.... another interesting / handy bit of info for me and my setup..... as they say.... Peace

Stigger 03-19-2011 03:49 AM

i hav used lloyds isa and allways worked great for me, i am using halifax one now for 4 months with no trouble at all. money comming in is in a total different name in fact sex lol

Imakemoney 03-19-2011 07:34 AM

really? from what i'd heard from other people no isa's were working.

Thats good then :D do you just leave your isa's alone once the moneys in then? Because you get penalised on your interest if you touch it dont you?

raptor3 04-27-2011 08:30 AM

I had halifax isa and it stop working too. and 2 e-savers accounts not working thats 3 accounts wasted on the one paypal account. The paypal account is now verified but so i can sent money and buy.
The only good thing about e-savers is it will verify the paypal account if you get the 2 small bank amounts into paypal in time before it becomes VOD

Imakemoney 04-27-2011 10:54 AM

Yeah I wouldnt bother with any savers or ISA's now guys just stick to current accounts. :peace:

autosweeper 04-27-2011 11:59 AM

i hear natwest first reserve savers work a treat

Imakemoney 04-27-2011 12:22 PM

I have a first reserve account currently that has been working several months.

However some people have now reported them being kicked back by paypal.

Imakemoney 04-27-2011 01:20 PM

Agreed, Lloyds is no good for stealth.

medway30 04-28-2011 10:59 AM

raptor3 04-28-2011 04:15 PM

Buy the Stealth Guide - you get what you pay for!!! (You know it makes sense!).

Imposter 04-29-2011 07:12 AM

I have Lloyds savers account & they let you verify the account but does not accept direct debit.

Does anyone know what banks let you open up savings accounts online on top of your current account you have with them that accepts direct debits ?

Imakemoney 04-30-2011 06:36 AM

The only savings account that I have found to work for any amount of time is Natwest First Reserve.

However some people have now reported them getting kicked back but mines fine thus far.
