Seek Immediate Help!!. Limited. Over $2k

I had a call from PayPal this morning, the representative asked me what i use my paypal account for in terms of business, i started explaining, and then the call dropped.

The representative obviously thinking this is suspicious limited my account as is requesting the following information.

* May 2011 Validate your Account InformationWe need to confirm that your phone number matches your address.

* May 2011 Check Email for Additional Required DocumentationWe will send you an email explaining what we need from you to appeal the account limitation.

* May 2011 Provide more information about paymentsWe need information on certain payments sent or received from your account.

I rang up paypal and asked what's going on, it was a different rep, the lady said "Just upload the photo id and proof of address, dont worry about explaining the transactions, and i will remove it within 2 hours" i uploaded a passport, and proof of address, but it's been over 10 hours, still no limitiation.

Shall i ring again, or am i about to say bye bye to my paypal account. I have been dropshipping from a supplier in china, and i doubt i can explain the 10 transactions they are asking for!. They are asking for all types of info involving ALL these transactions. Do you think the lady rep will keep her word, and not require for me to submit any more information regarding the payments?

Dropshipping and f ake items (I'm assuming) are a bad combination. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Was it a stealth account?

It's a stealth account, but real ID and real address.

GreenBean 05-06-2011 11:18 PM

It can stay in the UK section :peace:

Um, stealth but real info? You borrowed details :spy:

Erm,yes. I'm not worried about the ID and proof of address, but how do you think i should go about explaining each individual transaction.

Or do you think the lady on the phone will keep her word, and un-limit the account based on the id and POA.

Is their a chance that these items/transactions are high risk? ;)

If so I want to ask you, have you been using the same PayPal to receive payments and then buy from china suppliers?

there should be a list of transactions that you have to provide information for.

just make invoices for the sales and get ones from your seller that you paid for through PP, if you cannot do that then create these yourself also, google an address and use tollfreeforwarding for phone number to enter on chinese invoice.

have the phone numbers forward to a very very long winded answer machine or busy tone incase they ring it.

they may only be requesting invoices for things sold, have a look.

All the best

PS : Drop shipping is a NO NO on ebay really for all sorts of reasons.

Yes, i think that was my problem. Received a payment, then paid chinese supplier.

From my experiences, PayPal lull you into a false sense of security "yes we'll reinstate your account when you send us everything we want". I did this, photo i.d., bank account etc. only to be told that I also had to submit tracking info for about 10 transactions. As I don't track my items I personally contacted all 10 buyers and asked them to send me e-mail confirmation of receipt (with their ebay e-mail address), I converted all messages to pdf and uploaded only to get my money tied up for 180 days. On top of that they also had my passport details and bank account - both now useless for other accounts.

Then I found stealth :hail:

Sad to say that Apple has it correctly. I have found it pointless to "waste" time on pa yp al. You follow their steps while making few other accounts on the side =) All the best.
