Default HSBC in UK problem or no problem?

I have just opened the £12.99 per month HSBC account with direct debit function. Please can anybody tell me their experience with this account. Does it work with paypal with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ /stealth paypal name but real bank account details?

Or do the initials have to match exactly with the name of the real person but the name on paypal can still be different. There are different posts some claiming to have success with HSBC some claiming no success.

Anyone please advise because if HSBC is no good I will just close the account down... But if there is a specific way that it will work please advise. Thank you

Why are you paying £12.99 per month for a current account?

I already have barclays, santander, natwest etc and it took a bit of convincing the staff to get this one... why do you need another current account? Got many questions so I just opted for the premium account of hsbc and agreed to pay the £12.99 for free travel insurance, greenflag cover etc... but can cancel. Just would like other members advise if HSBC works or not. Any out there that have succesfully tried HSBC?

I hope you have taken advantage of having online banking with Barclays and Natwest.

You can open e-saver accounts online with a matter of seconds.

it works.. the name does not have to match the name on the account... I've had success with pp and HSBC for a current account where the pp name was different from the name on the account - different initials as well
