Limited account again!
 

I recently hit the annual £1900 limit on my paypal account and as a result have got my account limited until I can provide the relevant docs.

I registered the account in my actual name but incorrect address and dob. When asked to confirm my address I entered my actual details but it says 'the so not match the details on our system' is it worth sending them the docs they are asking for: photo id and proof of address, and what are my chances of getting the account limitation lifted?

Always worth the try. The chances will depend more likely on what you are selling. All the best.

Just recently started selling used ipods, but that's not the reason the limitation came about, it's because of the annual selling limit

Also I should mention that I have previously had an account permanently limited on paypal, with the same details I am about to send them. Do they keep those sort of details on record and are they likely to cross check accounts on limitation review, once I provide the docs?

yes I am serious, but it was a while ago, and I have heard that as they have hundreds of these accounts to deal with every day a lot of the time they will just pass them through as long as the docs are provided. At least that's what I'm hoping for!

Please - I'm having a hard day right now - please don't make it worse by doing this.

Suggest you try platting fog - you have more chance with that

OP: double check the meaning of LINK. Send in the same docs of another account & you linked yourself.

It's not recommended to do this.

Yea I know it's not ideal, I wouldn't care as I've had paypal accounts closed down before, but this one has a fair bit of ££ in it so I really want to try and get it back up an running. If anyone knows any other solutions I'm all ears!

Are you just referring to linking myself on paypal or will it link up old ebay accounts to new ones as well?

Same docs on any occassion = linked accounts

So does that mean that my old suspended ebay account that was linked to my old limited paypal account, will now be linked to my current ebay account if I submit these docs?

I could get hold of different docs for my new account, but the trouble is this:

when paypal notified me that I had hit the £1900 limited and I was asked to 'confirm identity' I entered my details from my old account.

It then said 'these details do not match our records' and I need to send in photo id and proof of address.

So I'm in a position now where I'm thinking which set of docs should I send them, the ones for this account or the ones from my old account. Is it still saveable or have I just completely cocked it up!?

If anyone else could shed any light on this situation and if there are any ways around it, that would be really appreciated!

You have totally c**ked it up by the look of things. I would hazard a guess and say that no matter what you do now it's game over. Not good stealth at all OP - not good at all:doh:

So it's best to just wave goodbye to the account and wait 6 months until I can withdraw the funds? Is it not worth submitting my real docs anyway, or do I risk losing my current ebay account if my real docs are linked to an old limited paypal account, which is linked to a suspended ebay account? My current ebay account is registered in my girlfriends name so does that make a difference or would they suspend it anyway if I became linked?

What condition is your ebay account in? Have you other accounts? :spy:

I would suggest you just walk away and see if it comes back next year. You really do need to get some learning OP. This is pretty basic stuff you are getting wrong
