Limited!

Well, after 5 months I've just got my first limitation. eBay account is absolutely fine, no restrictions or limits on that yet.

Long and short of it is, I received a payment at 11AM, and by 11.13AM it had gone into review and ultimately cancelled (even though eBay it still shows as 'Paid'). Also at 11.13AM I received an email saying "Your account has been limited until we hear from you."

It said:

Dear PayPal using cretin,

We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we've temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.

We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your PayPal
account. We want to work with you to get your account back to normal as
quickly as possible.

What's the problem?

For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal service we need some
more information about some money you recently received or withdrew.

I'm guessing this payment is what has triggered the review. It's asking for the stuff shown above, but my bank is already confirmed, and I have already given them information about my business.

I'll call them tomorrow, but in the meantime does anyone have any advice or was in a similar situation to me? I only just lifted the £1900 receiving limit two weeks ago as well, so I don't want to lose this account :pry:

well for the transaction, usually they want proof of supplier or receipt and tracking for that eb item, upload all info, if you have absolutely no tracking or postal receipts refer them to feedback for item on eb. as for the rest eg business info, try and do it again, if you cannot get further call them. Usually they want ID on these limitations, I assume you have already given them that in the past? Ive had these happen randomly, not necessarily big amount or risky item.....

Got it sorted within 12 hours, which I was amazed at. Phoned them up and the guy said I had done all I need to and they would assess my account and get back to me within 12-48 hours. 8 hours after I submit my info I got an email saying "Your account has been restored". To say I was relieved and surprised is an understatement.

Your not out of the woods yet - give it another week or so. PP have been known to restore then close account soon afterwards.
