Paypal invoices

I will not be using ebay to sell my items.

all my sales will be from me emailing customers a paypal invoice after they contact me through my website.

does anybody else do business this way?

oompaloompa 09-08-2011 03:07 AM

yes absolutely.

However if it is not through ebay, then have you considered pushing another well known merchant that is less troublesome, eg a card processor? Offering paypal on a site is fine and alot will opt for it but alot will choose another too.........paypal may also want to check out what you sell on the site and ask for supplier invoices and ID at some point.....

Of course. But at some time consider adding another payment processor. Never a wise idea to rely on the one method. All have risks.

As the delightful Ompappa said, paypal could still ask for invoices, info . Proceed with that thought in mind :)

I have already tried google checkout, they were ok for a bit and then closed my account.
The thing that was worrying me about paypal was when they start asking for invoices, transaction numbers etc.
doesn't that normally mean automatic closesure of the account?

that has happened to me in the past no matter what i have sent them.

Might mean more that the items you are selling are not quite OK...

google closing you, paypal limiting you: chargebacks & disputes because of items tend to cause that.

Fine line to walk :)

Alos, if this is a new paypal even away from ebay you will need to be careful. Are you aware of that? Hate to see you get caught with stock AND no way to be paid.

I think my problem before was to much money going in too soon, so my plan is to just let payments trickle through slowly in 2 or 3 accounts.
