Default Sending invoice to get around the 21 day hold?

Would they limit this? Say I tell the sell to pay via the invoice I send rather than through eBay and I create an invoice for "Other" or "Services"

Wouldnt work in the long term...

Plus i reckon your buyers would be very skeptical not going through ebay....

Depending on the value and on the nature of the item DVD's no problem, high value items they'd want some can of assurance from you like going through eBay. This method but it's a risk!

re: sending invoice to get around 21 day hold, its not really worth it, buyers are so used to paying by paypal nowadays that suggesting they pay by another method - even when you HAVE to offer paypal as a payment option just sounds suspicious. And you will find that most people will have already paid you by paypal by the time you get round to emailing them asking them to pay by another method.

The thing you need to remember about the 21 day hold is that as soon as you have despatched the item and the buyer receives it, providing they are happy and leave positive feedback then the 21 day hold is released on each item that receives positive feedback, Try and work with it and see it as an extra incentive to post your items out promptly - and give the buyers a polite reminder to leave you feedback ASAP as you have a payment hold until they do so. I have had positive results doing this.

Also the 21 day hold is usually reviewed after 30 days and if your seller performance has been good then they will remove it - happy days! Hope this helps!
