Just a quick one guys can't make intstant payments. anyone had this issue?
 

hi guys,
on one of my accounts, ive added a card and confirmed two small amounts,
it said i would be able to make instant bank funding transfers.
but when i paid some sellers yesterday it said echque sent 5-7 working days!!

can anyone advise, sellers hate waiting 5-7 working days after 10 day auctions, i no from personal experience lol.

is this a stealth account - if yes, echeques are a no, no. :doh:

Yea Man,,,The FIRST Thing you are supposed to do is FUND your Paypal account,,In other words Transfer Money TO Your Paypal accont FROM your Bank account, within 3-5 Days you willSEE that amount as your "Paypal BALANCE", NOW you can pay ANYONE DIRECTLY and INSTANTLY from your Paypal Balance,,as Long as you have Enough Money in your Paypal Balance to cover your Purchase there is NO NEED for an ECheck,,when your Balance gets Low,,,Use the "ADD FUNDS",,,,,,,,,Simple

Another way to do this where you DO NOT have to fund your account is to add a Legit and VALID Credit card and set it as your Default Funding source in Paypal as opposed to your Bank account.

Also - as Slapped has alluded to - once you do a successful upload of bank to pa yp al, your chances of future instant payments rather than echecks go up...

yes its a stealth account, why are echeques a nono? do they red flag??
also i really didn't want to transfer money into the account and let them put there ****ty hold on my money for 180 days again.
i dont have a credit card so i suppose ill just transfer smal amounts of money at a time, although it is frustrating as it makes the sellers wait 5 days for their money. and as a seller myself i would be really pissed with that tbh.

I think the risk is the money coming from the bank account, in case the acc name is seen by Paypal.

Yes - a financial transfer receipt is generated from your bank and there is a CHANCE that pp will decide to look at it - if so, your names would not match and you MAY be flagged.

Thanks for confirming that rsot. I wasn't 100% sure that was the reason, but it seemed the most logical.

ok guys, so just to get it straight....

- can i fund my stealth paypal account from my legit verified bank account?

- its a no no to pay for anything on ebay with an echeque? if so can i cancel this payment?

think i may have screwed up, as i have sent funding from my legit bank account to my paypal account yesterday, (which takes 5 days), but i have paid for an item with echeque this morning, (**** i hope i can cancel or get seller to cancel)

My first q is (and don't take this in a a$$-hole like fashion but...) have you read the thread? Seems pretty clear on what to do.

F**k all my Echeques failed,
they have been cancelled by my bank, the pp and ebay are still running no limitations so i guess it was just an automated decline as something didn't match, hopefully they won't look at it.
im going to take a risk now and fund £1000 into my paypal.
im really jubious though as i have 9 failed echeques and there going to open unpaid cases on me, my ebay may get limited, does anyone know how many unpaid item strikes you get before your out? i f***d up here.

Mate,

Add a vcc to the paypal and pay for your stuff via it. Google 3V vouchers. They're a piece of cake to set up and this will sort your problem.
