Approaching £1900 limit but shouldn't have a limit?

Evening guys,
A couple of weeks ago I purchased somebodies established ebay/paypal account from them and all has been going well with no problems at all.

Anyway, I've logged into paypal today and got this usual message stating I'm approaching my £1900 limit:

You have received £1,650 or more in total payments to your PayPal account in this calendar year and are therefore approaching our annual receiving limit of £1,900. PayPal is required by law to comply with European Union Anti-Money Laundering regulations by collecting information from customers when they receive more than £1,900 in total payments within a calendar year. Please go to the Resolution Centre for more information on what you need to do.

I've followed all the steps in the resolution center needed to remove limits.

The very last one 'Confirm your personal information' is normally the one that causes people problems but as this is not a stealth account and is in a real persons name I just entered all the right info (his date of birth, address etc...) and hooray got the message:

CONGRATULATIONS! WE HAVE CONFIRMED YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!

So I thought that would be it, no more limits. However, the £1900 limit is still showing eventhough ALL the steps to remove limits are ticked.
When will the £1900 limit disappear? will it automatically go as soon as I hit the £1900?

I'm only about £150 away and to be honest I'm dreading hitting the limit incase they limit my account

Many thanks

sometime those limits can be seen even after you recieved the confirmation that it had been lifted and even when you recieved more than 1900, so as soon as you got the messege from pp that it's lifted, just keep on, will be ok

also if you feel sure about your account and the stuff you sell you can call them and ask...

Paypal has a glitch where that message does not disappear instantly.

Stays there to scare you. Should go soon :juggle:

I have this on a few spare accounts. It has been discussed many times.

It is a strange scenario. You get all the green ticks done, yet still the limit counts down.

same thing happened with my two accounts. I send them email 1 to 3 times after that my limit lifted.

Many thanks for that, puts my mind at rest (for a while!)

Ah well you'll never guess what! Just tipped over the £1900 limit today and BAM! I have been limited. :mad2:
Not really sure why as like I said all the steps have been followed and I have a green tick for every one.
Emailed paypal but have very little hope.

You were limited for going over the £1900 mark even though you had the message to confirm you had lifted them ?

Mprice3024 11-28-2011 03:09 PM

I didn't get a confirmation email stating that my £1900 limit had been lifted but I did get all the green ticks and after completing the last step I got the message 'Congratulations! We have confirmed your personal information.'

This has now become more than just a glitch. It is a pain in the ar*e.

I can only think that the only way to fix this is to contact PP via your chosen methods and wait for the reply?

Their system is so crap. You get all the green ticks done, yet still get limits...

Makes no sense? :typing:

Callidus 11-29-2011 05:36 AM

Is this happening to everyones accounts?

Makes plenty of sense as it's paypal.:juggle:

Scary really & getting worse.

Right! bit of an update :D Just got an email from PayPal:

We have completed our review, and as you have completed all the required steps, we have now restored your account.

Came totally as a shock to be honest as I thought I'd have to ring them and end up getting the dreading 180 day limit!

Stigger 12-08-2011 07:57 AM

had this on a few accounts.

Had to submit docs, limits was lifed within the hour.

but it give you some real play time as on the accounts i had it on, i went way passed the 1900 limit by about 6-8k
