Need URGENT help please! Stupid mistake
 

Basically i just got my 1900 limit removed on my stealth acc and everything is good
I made a STUPID MISTAKE and didnt pay ebay fees and now its coming out as an echeque and i got scared they will see the real name so i just cancelled the direct debit with my bank now.
But im not sure this is the right thing to do?
I dont know what to do now, the echeque will prob get rejected? and will they close my account?
Shall i just call them tomorrow and say i cancelled the DD with my bank by accident?

I know it was a stupid mistake by me guys but i have to sort it now

It takes a lot more than that one error to get your account suspended. Be careful about similar things in the future

What do you think i should do now? The echeque is pending to come out of my account but the direct debit is cancelled with my bank. I just want to know two things
1. If they can still see the name even though i cancelled DD ( the echeque says pending until end of the week)

2. What shall i do about the cancelled DD? phone them and explain?

just pay your fees and let it bounce a echeck can't be undone you might get your the bank removed since you canceled your direct debits and will have to add a new bank account

And wait - only time will tell. Single mistakes should not be worrisome.

I had one rejected withdraw on an account that is top status, over 100k through it and over a year old. Rock solid. They limited account. Because bank sent back info saying unauthorized withdraw because it was the wrong name. I was able to fix account because it was solid. But fair warning, it all depends on bank and what they send paypal. In my case saying my stealth name was not authorized to use account was an instant lock down

Bank may say NSF or just closed. That will likely be ok. So not a bad thing. So not instant stress. But if they send unauthorized that's a big paypal freakout.

If you are in a country that needs SSN, pay attention and make sure your fees are paid. One bank slip up does have the potential to kill you. Not sure how UK rolls, but a general heads up

Its real hard to cancel a transaction like that. Here anyway. I tried once an hour after and it took the guy 30 minutes to try stop it. He was able to. It was a refund to a customer that went echeck by mistake.

your odds are good, better than a dice roll...think of the amount they get in per second, they are not looking at the time - unless they come back to it at later point due to another reason.....

Thanks guys so I should just let the echeque for fees bounce, I also have a pending withdrawal I guess will bounce too?
Then they will remove my bank and I just re add it?
Shall I just do this without phoning them or shall I phone them today and explain, I'm scared this might draw attention

Yeah I will do bud. I just can't do anything to go back now I just need to sort this.
Is what I said in my last post right, shall I just re add bank acc etc after everything gets rejected with or without phoning them?

Well you can try I had this happen before when pp says the account is closed because you canceled the dd pp will remove the account then when you try to readd it pp will tell you to fax in info if you want to use this account that's why I said that you will have to add a new bank account

the thing to do (maybe to late now) , remove the DD from the bank end to avoid them seeing any details and then re add it in a week or so.

Thanks guys the withdrawals went through fine so I guess that's nothing to do with dd.
I CANCELLED the direct debit with the bank 3 days ago.
The echeque is pending until 9th dec, so I guess it will get rejected then I just re add bank account.

UPDATE: the payment echeque got declined today as i cancelled my DD so they havnt seen my name. everything on the account seems fine...Now i want to pay the fees manually but in ebay they it says "thank you for making a payment automatic billing method" and the balance is zero so how do i pay this without echeque again?

In your ebay account there is a spot fro "one time paypal" payment. Its hard to see sometimes

Make sure the amount is in account
**Make sure source says "paypal balance" when checking out

I know the one time payment thing but my balance is zero so if i pay it will go to negative.
Its weird. I think the auto billing will try again but its because i have money in my paypal now so i wont go to my bank.
Any idea how long before they try again?

You can add a card and use that. They just always go to bank as default. Just make sure new card is selected

When a payment fails the auto payment is removed I think. Check your ebay account. If you pay the fees you will be fine.

The autopayment is still there and the balance in ebay is still zero even though the auto payment failed :S

Oh I see. You know it failed, but ebay doesn't show it yet. You can still make a payment. It will put you in the positive until they show echeck failed.

wait for then to get the failed notification from the bank.

Its just showed up in the ebay fees now and ive paid it off
