Hi guys,

Right I withdrew some money from PP on the 4th January.. it currently says completed since yesterday morning but it shows nothing in my account?

Also another one that I withdrew on the 5th still isnt showing in my account even though it says 'COMPLETED'..

Am I missing something here?

Regards

It usually takes 1-3 days for the withdrawals to show in your bank account after it states completed in your pp depending on the bank and weekends as well.
You can check with your banker to check for you if there are deposits on the way... Hope that helps you

Did you experience this before with that bank??

Killuminati 01-09-2012 10:15 AM

Ive got santader it takes 4 days max to see the money in you bank account it may say completed but it is still pending.

Callidus 01-09-2012 01:08 PM

Well I can say for sure that the monies withdrawn on the 4th aren't in there yet so I hope midnight tonight might sort itself out.

Will keep you updated

You needed to check when the words "completed" actually came up on PP. Then you can gauge whether there is an issue. Sometimes going from Pending to Completed can take a few days, in which case the transfer delay will occur.

Well it said completed Saturday 7th when I withdrew on the 4th however I just looked this morning and its still not in there, all the account details are correct as I verified with the deposits and they only took 3 days?

DOnt understand it

Do you recall what time you started the procedure?

If you started after 18:00hours or 19:00hours when normal banking hours are finished, then the countdown does not until the following day.

Means your funds are in cyberspace. Real downer

They will arrive, I'm waiting on a few amounts to hit some different accounts, i did 4 separate transfers last week to different banks and only the one to the co-op has arrived as of yesterday and am still waiting for the others to hit my Halifax and natwest accounts, haven't checked yet this morning but hopefully they will have arrived, It does seem to depend on what bank you are sending the money to as to how quickly it arrives

The thing is it just worries me as to why it takes so long. Today is the 4th WORKING DAY and still no sign.

How long do your Santander withdrawals usually take?

I withdrew to two Santander accounts last week on 2 pp accounts. They took the usual 2 days from requesting to the money hitting the account.

Callidus 01-11-2012 02:00 AM

Ok they have gone through this morning. 7 days it took. over a weekend though.

I had a case similar to yours and just rang Paypal on a Saturday morning and within minutes the funds were in my account. It just varies from time to time.

Yeah, dont think that normal banking rules apply when you're dealing with Paypal, I've had this fiasco with them countless times, it seems to vary depending which bank you are with, but I've noticed that it can quite often take a full 7 days to reach my bank account from Paypal.

One thing I've noticed is that if I pay the £5 fast transfer fee and withdraw my money from Paypal to my bank account on a Monday morning then 9 times out of ten the money will be in my account on Tuesday morning by about 10 am. However if I didnt pay the £5 fast transfer fee then I would be waiting until the following Monday morning before I saw the money in my account. What a con! And sometimes even this doesnt work!

Basically you have to remember you CAN NOT rely on Paypal paying money into your account on a set day, cos its sods law that the one time you're life depends on getting the money, it definetely wont be there, and you'll be waiting for a full week... I know its a pain in the arse, but it just seems to be the way it is with them, so either get used to it or give it up!

sasha 01-14-2012 08:19 PM

How do you get round the £5 fast transfer fee? I never seem to find how to do it.

I did phone Paypal one time and they stated that they don't do the fast transfer fee anymore

Anyone

eBay King 01-14-2012 08:42 PM

It is mainly to do with risk on determining when your funds arrive.

If the account is brand new and I try to withdraw straight away, it mostly takes the full 7 days to arrive in the bank account.

If the account is years old and not being cleaned out and it is done before 9am, it usually always arrives in 2 working days.

Delaying the speed at which PP actually pay out the funds to your bank account is another of their ways to minimize risk to their orgainsation. Once you understand this, there is no point wasting energy on expecting the funds to arrive at a prefixed day.

johnnyleeds 01-16-2012 04:23 PM

crafty1 the fast transfer to bank account from Paypal option is only available if you click on the button to withdraw and wait for the little drop down menu to appear, if you just click the withdraw button straight away for some reason it will only show you the ordinary withdraw to bank account option.

Some people say its pointless paying the £5 fast transfer fee, and if you are with a bank where ordinary Paypal withdrawals appear in 1-2 days then it probably is, but as I've explained if I choose the ordinary option then I will be waiting for a full week before the money appears in my bank account. So the choice to either pay £5 and have the money the next day or have to wait a full week is sometimes a no brainer for myself, especially if i'm completely skint!

sasha 01-17-2012 03:55 AM

Thanks for that johnnyleeds, will try to see if it works.

£5 is better than paying the PP fess when buying goods from my supplier so I wouldn't mind paying it if i was to get the funds the next day.
