Quick question about online saving accounts
 

I've had a look at a few and can see that they send you an account no. but do they also send a sort code?, because this is needed to add a bank account to paypal.

Yes. Of course. When a bank account is created this is what happens: a customer gives
information to a bank either at a branch or using online services. In the creation of that
bank account two groups of numbers are created. A route number is created first and that gives the ID of which bank/branch and then an account number to identify the customer.
Online accounts are made the same way. You should by going to 'Your Account' online find out your details. Failing that, try the bank's customer service.
