Linked paypal accounts
 

Greetings all,

This is getting worse by the day!:rolleyes: My PayPal account got limited last week. Since then I've provided them with EVERYTHING they’ve requested and little more (invoices, supplier details etc...). When I logged on this morning I noticed that they've linked my limited PayPal account to an older PayPal account. That older PayPal account was linked to an eBay account that was suspended months ago. My question is, will my new eBay account also get suspended as I've linked my new PayPal with my new eBay account?

The sad thing is, I never did anything wrong in the first place. The first account got suspended because I used a friend's laptop who had his account suspended. I am 100% genuine yet I have this nasty vibe that PayPal will talk to eBay to get my new account suspended also.

Please advice. This is killing me... slowly. :(

I've just logged on to the old one and yes there is an outstanding balance of about £180. I don't mind paying that as it's fair enough but my concern is will this linking have an effect on my new eBay account?!

I dont think this is something anyone here can say "yes" or "no" too. Its just one of those things that happen or doesnt. But there is a possibly of being linked.

The most important thing is to figure out why and how they got linked.

Many of us have multiple pp accounts and there is no way they can link without mistakes being made to link them together.

Once you figure out how they linked then you need to re think your plans.

I don't know if my account has been limited permanently. It doesn't say that on their website. I am paying my negative balance tomorrow so I am hoping that once that is paid, the limit on the account will be lifted from the new one.

As for the linking well then I am doomed. Looks like it's just a matter of time before eBay decide to suspend my account I guess. The good thing is that it's still working so I'm hoping it doesn't happen. We'll just have to wait and see.
