IP Linking (worried..)
 

I use a mobile dongle, and everytime i plug it in, i disable my main network adapter. I have just realised i HADN'T disabled my main network adapter, and have logged into 5 of my strong accounts with the same IP address (on different user accounts).

I have a suspended account under this IP address, and now i am absolutely bricking it.

Is it over for me and all my accounts? Has anyone got away with doing this?

when i was green and dumb, i used an 02 dongle on 3 accounts for a year or more and they were ALL fine, not sure on the specifics of your case but................

What's worrying me is i use a different ip per 5 of my other accounts. Then today i had logged into all of them with an IP of an account which was suspended about 2 months ago

ive done this exact thing numerous times. i find that if i have the dongle plugged in and the wifi on my laptop on at the same time, the dongle is the main ip as shown when i go to ipburger.com. i have not had any problems to date doing this. but i would not recommend making it a habit

5 lots of info turning up on the same IP as a once off should fly.

The ISP may have had a techincal glitch for the reasons they have. Accounts may have had a different IP.

It's not (quite) panic stations.

Take it as a wake-up call.

Be far more careful with your IP whenever you touch your account(s).

I say this as a user who has ripped the power cord out in panic more times than I care to admit.
Does tend to be a repeat of using banned IPs & other poor behaviour that makes problems.

Are you using aspkin's IP Burger - Help Display Your IP Address! & your execl sheet to check every step? Be more proactive :D
