Getting nowhere with Paypal
 
This is my first ever forum, it's taken ages to find how to communicate but thanks for being here.

Going round in circles with password problem.
I have a p/p account linked to bank a/c but did not confirm some months ago.
Sold item on ebay but unable to go into account as lost password

tried opening another account - not poss as recognises my only email address
not worth opening new email as money is already in the original account.

can't resolve with lost password because the e-mail is not recognised due to not being confirmed.
It is recognised by p/p email as they asked me to remove money in few days or it is sent back.
Can't send sold item until I have entered my account

What do I do next as there is no solution coming from p/p

Welcome to the forums. Is the account in your real info? As NoneOther stated, you would have to call them up - might have to do some id verification.

No security q's to answer?

Sounds pretty straight forward.

You have a valid email address you can access.

On PP sign in page, click problem with log in, that takes you to a page where it gives you some options ( yours being forgotten password)

Enter email, PP will send you a link to create new password.

Lets see if you can get to that stage

what do you mean 'not confirmed' you mean the bank acc? this has nothing to do with password issue.

the fact you added a bank acc, means you have a working paypal acc, so the password
retrieval should work - it may be a glitch, where you go round in circles, sounds familiar...

usually you get asked a secret question or to confirm your card number and then they send a link to reset...

suppose you may need to call them or keep trying. Maybe clear your cookies and flash, it may clear the glitch.....

I think the problem is that although he has added a bank account (not yet confirmed) and email address to p/p he never confirmed the email address by inputting the confirmation code from the email they sent.

So now when he tries to log in the email address is not recognised as it was never confirmed.

Time to get on the phone.

ok that clarifies it. Did not even think you could continue with adding bank if you had not confirmed email with code, it is a basic step.
