Strange Entropay Issue
 

Hi All,

Quick FYI.

I went to add an entropay card this afternoon to an already verified account and when i clicked link and confirm card (where they debit £1 from your card and give you the numbers) i got a message saying card/some details not recognized - yes they were perfectly correct...triple checked.

I then removed the card and went through the process again, and it's now saying the card cannot be added and the bank doesn't recognize your card, please check the details.

Now i have checked my entropay available balance and it's decreased by £1. Which makes me think the debit may well go through. Problem is, because the card is now removed, if it does go through i can't confirm it.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking:

1. Just add the card that comes with the easycash account....need to change the address though first.

2. Get a new entropay and try adding that?

Halifax Easycash is also good with stealth :p
So you got nothing to worry about

but bunneh with the card verification (the 4 letter code) the address still needs to match.....right

Basic stuff, been answered thousands of times before.

Are there any trouble free, hassle free alternatives to Entropay.

I just tried to sign up this weekend and I find Entropay ask a
s**t load of personal questions and details I am nor prepared
to release simply for the opportunity to have a Prepaid Debit
Card. No Way . . .

So re, my opening post on this thread today i created a new VCC with entropay (i haven't yet changed my bank address for the avs check as waiting for some more infor to come through the post here first) just to see if i'd done something stupid first time around...same thing happened. PP didn't recognise the entropay details and said card cannot be linked and confirmed.

So i tried to do it via the ebay end instead where you sell an item then at the end it says how do you want to pay...again ebay said they don't recognise the card...contact cust. services....opted for pay with paypal and thought screw it i'll just do the suggested comment above later....i did the telephone thing where ebay phone you and give you a verification code...all good...then to my surprise my limits are now 100 and 3500k a month - no card confirmed yet on paypal (it's added, but not linked)....my pp is only verified via the bank deposits.


definitely looks dodgy on the EP front now....weird thing is two weeks ago all was absolutely fine.

You created an EP VCC & were unsuccessful in trying to add it to your new PP A/C ???

PP being verified by bank deposits is to be expected.

you can add the card to paypal yes, but that's pretty meaningless. As i'm sure you're aware you need to link and confirm the card and it's at this stage that EP seems to be failing. Anyone else had this?

We were unable to verify this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.

- This is the second EP card i've tried to add to paypal. The PP account is all verified etc but i need a card linked to it obviously. Any thoughts?

^^in the bold outline tells you've misunderstood this at some level.^^

But re your point. That's the whole reason EP is good. I thought the EP address details don't show up to paypal. Hence when you do the link and confirm card....which is an AVS check - EP matches.

Anyway - to PM

I also read that EP will just confirm the long number, expiry date and the 3 digit code.

I dont think i have ever linked and confirmed my Entropay cards on paypal.
All i do is add my credit cards.

When you get the PP deposits you become verified.
and the additional information you do over and above just lifts your receiving and sending limits.

Ive never added a VCC or a credit card to paypal. Never made a difference to me.
