Paypal account question. Would really appreciate some input.

I have a Paypal account since the past 6 months which I have been using with a new eBay account (again about 6-7 months old).

I've only used it for buying till date and have around 20 feedbacks on eBay.

Details about the account:

Name - Only my first initial and half the second name ( Dav instead of Dave)

Address - Same as my limited account (about 8 months back)

No bank account added so not verified. Only credit cards added for purchases.

I haven't even verified my email address yet lol, and the account still works great. Even won a chargeback from a fraudulent seller.

Now the situation:

I'm moving homes shortly. This might be a great opportunity to open a new Paypal account with a new address and everything, but with no history. Would that mean a new ebay account too ?

Or I can change the address on this account, make the slight correction to my name and add a bank account to verify it, and the account would have positive history on it too.

Which course of action would you suggest ? Will do as you guys say :)

As this account has links to a banned account, which it always will have I would start a fresh account from the new address with COMPLETELY new details i.e. name, address, bank account, the lot.

I was afraid I'd have to do so.

So should I just close this account or let it be open, just not use it ?

Also, can I keep using the same eBay account and link the new Paypal to it. I really hope that's fine. The eBay account hasn't had any issues etc.

Agree with NoneOther - golden chance to start fresh and operate wisely.

Leave it open and use it from time to time, you never know when it might come in handy.

But please make sure that any new accounts you make have absolutely no and I mean NO links to it in any way shape or form.

DO NOT LINK ANY EXISTING E/B ACCOUNT TO ANY NEW P/P ACCOUNTS YOU MAKE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, AND VICE VERSA.

EVERYTHING MUST BE NEW, E/B, P/P, NAME, ADDRESS, DOB, BANK ACCOUNT, CARDS

Never close an account of your own free will.

Let ebay/paypal do that.
