Hi All,

Just created a stealth account , but when I go to add a bank A/C (Halifax , not linked to another account) , I get the message :

The account you entered would need additional review. Please link a different bank account.

If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driving licence or other photo ID. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780.

Does anyone know why this is happening ?

I am going to open up another account in the high street tomorrow, just annoying >:(

Sounds like the account number has been used before somehow.

There are two reasons:
1.
You used this bank account before, with a different PayPal account. You get this prompt if PayPal itself removed the bank account from that other PayPal account (i.e. not visible). If you have this bank account on a different PayPal account and you can see it, the trying to add it on a different PayPal account would give you another prompt, something along the lines of "already in use....."

2.
A fair few stealthers use Halifax. It's possible that this account (new?) has been recycled and the previous owner of this account had it blacklisted or something.

Finally, do not fax PayPal.

how long before you tried to add the account did you open it ?

was it savers or current or easy cash ?

Did you have any funds in the account

Honestly avoid doing that again , as its happened to me in the past few times.

Get a new account and proceed from there. good luck.
