transactional limit

Hi

Typically speaking there are transactional limits of £5500 for uk paypal accounts and in addition there are sending limits for each unverfied paypal account.

My question is this if I open an e commerce website and use paypal business within my website do these limits apply? I presume the £5500 will still apply but if someone wants to buy an item such as some jewellery for say £2800 which is pretty typical if my customers don't already have a paypal account will they be able to purchase items from my shop and check out ok?

It's a bit of a farce if they can not

Doesnt matter whether the paypal is business or premier, an unverified account has strict limits in place (the same on both).

Verifying by adding a bank account gets rid of all of them apart from the receiving limit (£1900). This limit is removed (assuming you are stealth) predominantly by sending in docs. Plenty of info around on how to do this.

You'll need to do this fairly quickly if you plan on receiving such large amounts.

All the best.

No sorry you misunderstood. I am fully verified.

Id has been sent everything is great with my account and fully verified.

I'm talking about my customers who come on my site through google and may not have a paypal account.

Sorry for the mis-understanding. Yes, unverified buyers will not be able to purchase your high ticket items unless they remove their limits. I'm sure if they are that keen to purchase they will get in touch with you.

Ok what limit will an unverified buyer have spending wise?

its a bit ridiculous not much of an internet merchant if you can't process transactions on your website.

Be more of a problem accepting payments without a safety net. (verified as opposed to unverified)

Just to throw a spanner into your plan, paypal put holds on funds for off-ebay transactions too. Not sure if you are aware of this.
