Paypal Problem
 

I tried to set up a new stealth account today. I had the following problems.

1. My brand new gmail account had already been used.
2. my brand new bank account had already been used.

Any idea why it got flagged up? The bank and gmail were created new that day.

The dongle I used for IP had been used before, but on a totally different user account, so no cookies or anything.

Well I have heard of that twice before. The same IP got used.

Did you recognize the info ?

I tried to create a new stealth Ppal and when I entered my newly created gmail, it said it had already been used. So I used another new gmail and then when I entered bank details, it said the bank had already been used?

Did the email address mean anything to you? 'recognise the info'

No, I just made the name up on the spot.

for example - ilikeicecream(at)gmail

Then this is a coincidence, somebody else made the same account as you did :)(same info)

Sound strange but what else can be?

Forget about that account and move on

maybe someone created and used that email long time ago!!! but what about the bank account!!!!! this is very odd

I was miffed, as I have created a few stealth accounts before and never had a problem.

It either has to be a coincidence where the bank account and email address had been used before and someone closed them and they were recycled to me. Seems unlikely but possible.

Or, something to do with having different users on one computer or the range of IP addresses the dongle was giving had been used before? But then, why would Pypal say email and bank were wrong?

I should also mention that Pypal said that the account had been used before but I can fax a bank statement with the deposited amounts if I still want to use it.
