Old pp account can I change the name

Just thought I would ask this question it's a little complicated but here goes

My partner has a EB an pp account from 2006 , it's not been used for years , she set this up before I started selling on EB , I then set my own up in 2008.

I have started to use hers to spread things around a bit amongst a couple more stealths I have when I went into the pp account I have noticed that it has a 1900 receiving limit on it and to get rid of it , it asks to confirm my personal details , I was just about to do it when I noticed my partner had set the pp up in my name , so I didn't want to confirm it as I set one up in 2008.

The only good thing (if this is a good thing) is my 2008 account is in my name so when I log into pp it says Hello John Smith but the 2006 account says Hello JK Smith , could my partner get in touch with them and change it to her name or can someone guide me on what is best to do , I have used the search bar but can't really find anything specific , I also do realise if one goes down the other will

Thanks

I would personally message PP & ask them of the possibility of changing the said initials to the full name but be prepared to provide full ID request details in that name.

I take it that apart from the abbreviated name, that the dob details are different as are the address, ip log in credentials & other account details.

I cannot remove the idea that they won't put two & two together possibly link the two accounts.

Hi suve

Thanks for the input , nothing is different on this account I run it from the same ip and everything , I will check the dob later , basically they are both none stealth one is mine one is the wife's but for whatever reason when the Mrs set hers up she put my name well initials and second name , I take it 2 people that live in the same house can have an account each ?

If you can live the idea of 1) possible limitation based on risk and suspicion of hijack and/or 2) you need to submit a LOT of ID proof - then go for it.

You can never be 100% sure with PP but if you have the docs ready, you could go for it.

Think I will just hang fire for now , is it allowed 2 people from the same address can have 1 account each , what if I had 2 kids who were old enough and they both wanted EB account , that would 4 from one address

A house can have two accounts at the same address until one account gets stung by ebay.

Then the troubles start :juggle:

Thanks GB

Did you watch the match today

Anyway back to business , at least I know I haven't done anything wrong now , it's just the small matter of my name on both pp accounts now , 2006 it's a long time ago maybe the mrs could just phone up and say she made a mistake all them years go

Christ just had a thought my Mrs was stealthing all them years ago before me when I didn't even know how to switch a computer on

I learned that the hard way.

If a stranger, family member, friend, visitor to your house, uses an IP from your house and they get Banned, then so do you.

Bye-Bye
