PayPal withdrawal on a Saturday?
 

Good morning you lovely bunch!

So, someone has just paid me to do some stuff, and I decided that I'd withdraw the money now, expecting it to be in my bank on Tuesday. However, instead of the "21 hours then another 2 hours" message that I normally get, I've had "4 hours, then a couple of hours message". I'm sure they've dropped the hours down because I'm totally trustworthy, but the question is......will the money go in my bank today (a Saturday) or will I be waiting until Monday or Tuesday? I will be back to tell you what's happened with it, but has anyone else in the UK had this and got their money on a Saturday? I'm sure the answer is "no", but I just thought I'd ask.

You should get it today. I just tried a withdrawal on a limited account (180th day today...) and got the same 4 hours as well. I have had "regular" transfers go in on a Saturday also so assuming that it really is 4 hours like they claim, it should all go through fine.

that sounds good to me. i'll come back later to update it. if it goes in, i'll be very surprised (and also very pleased!)

well, here's your update. it's gone in already! marvelous, took about 30 minutes!

Congratulations - how long did you wait after receiving payment to do the withdrawal?

I've just had the same message, I used to pay the £5 to get the fast transfer as I'd have my payment in under 24 hours, if I didnt pay the £5 then I;d be waiting nearly a week.

However the fast transfer option (and £5 charge) seems to have disappeared - thanks for updating us on this important issue Paypal! So I committed to doing the transfer and I got some message about a 4 hour security check - on a Sunday night? And then a furthur 2 hours to go into my account...

I hope mine takes 30 minutes! Somehow, I doubt it knowing what Paypal are like, I reckon it will be back to the bad old days of waiting a full week to get my payments.
