Stealth PayPal, Negative Balance

A stealth PP has a negative balance of - wait for it - 2 GBP! The buyer wants a refund, which of course I cannot process because the funds will come from my actual bank account, which will create the dreaded link.

I also can't send the refund directly to the buyer via my VCC as PayPal are asking me to resolve the negative balance before I attempt to make any payments. I take it there's no way to fund a PayPal account with a VCC?

I have about 5 days before PayPal will automatically process the refund on my behalf, which will be funded by my bank account.

I've asked the buyer if they would accept the refund via a cheque, just waiting for their response.

Any ideas?

Do as stated above and sell something for $2 (will probably need more to cover fees by pp)

If you send a check, the buyer could still open a huge can of trouble by opening a case and pp will still go into you bank account.
