| | | Elfquest | 10-23-2012 10:05 PM | Register as sole proprietor or individual? I've been hit with the £1900 EU Anti money Laundering limit.
- What will happen if customers try to pay me now? Will their payments be pending, or be refused alltogether. what message will they get?
Now i am being asked if i am a business seller, individual, charity etc.. Is there any way to go around providing them with TAX ID? As that is their next question when registering as a sole proprietor. I can't go the DBA route. I have a TAX ID, but in the Netherlands address and name are linked to TAX ID and are public record.
But since i had to register on eBay as a business to raise selling limits, i don't think i can opt for individual (consumer)?
I have been searching for info on this for the past hours, but can't seem to find anything. |

Why not have the PP A/C verified & confirmed from the outset & prior to reaching this stage whereby notifications would have been sent to you to get the PP A/C verified & confirmed to offset the £1900 limit ???
You have the option given to you to register as an individual or sole proprietor, highlighted in your own answers above.
You registered your PP A/C as a business PP, so supply the requested information in this respect hmm, as either option best suited to your circumstances.
Netherland's taxation information is publicly searchable/public record .... is it really ??? I am doubtful of this. |

I have been searching for info on this for the past hours, but can't seem to find anything. | A forum based on users getting back to ebay/paypal would not hand out intricate TAX ADVICE.
Beyond our remit.
:pout: |
| Ebayorbust | 10-24-2012 01:34 AM | OP, you do not get asked for tax ID to remove this limit.
You need to tell them what type of seller you are and you'll need to send photo id and a utility bill. No tax information is requested. |

@ SUVE: Unfortunately it is public record. As a small business that works from home you would not believe the amount of spam-mail i get, since registering with the chamber of commerce, because everyone can just look up my address. :( I am lucky that i have thought of leaving out my e-mail and phonenumber, because otherwise i would get spammed there too.
@ Greenbean: I am not looking for tax advice.
I was just wondering if Paypal accepts businesses to register as an individual to them in order to provide less info, which is always better and whether anybody on here has experienced registering as an individual with them, even though they are registered as a business seller on eBay, and getting their limits lifted.
Maybe it is different for europe, but when i choose sole proprietor, the next page is a page with the following questions:
- Please enter your VAT (BTW) number,
- Date you have started your business
- Contact details of the business (would be my home addy)
- Category and subcategory you sell in
- Documentnumber of your ID.
So i
- Provide all this information, which i rather wouldn't.
- Or register as a individual, but i think it would raise red flags now or later, when i receive a lot of payments, but am still registered as an individual?
Any input on this would be welcome. Thanks in advance, |

They may ask for it but is often the case that you do not answer those questions unless you want to, as they are none of their business. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:56 AM. | |
