Have I been suspended again?
 

I was a top rated seller on ebay and suddenly they removed my 100s of active listings - in the interest of "protecting" the ebay community.

The message was very vague - telling me to go to paypal resolution centre. Paypal wanted a full review of my account like so:

I haven't submitted any info but some of the boxes ticked themselves a few hours later?

Has anyone else had this?

Were you listing high risk items?

This happens a LOT, simply give them what they want and you should be ok

Does happen.

Basically you have to respond or there is a chance of getting booted off.

What items did you list ( general area only) Any dramas with buyers

Thanks my account has been restored - no hints as to why it was shut down. There was two open cases against me - not unusual for a fairly big seller like myself.

My account was top rated before it was shut, and now its below standard because of the effects of them shutting me down for a few days. They even sent a generic email to all my recent buyers telling them i was a crook and to open a case against me. Now i cant sell a thing because my listings are buried in the nether.

Constructive dismissal.

Tread carefully with this account, one more transgression and there could be no way back.

Why would you say that if I was a top rated seller before they suspended the account?

Because this is the way of ebay.

This is cold, has no naffin heart ebay & its evil cousin paypal.

Your former standing is NOTHING to them. Nothing whatsoever.

If you were to look around this forum, a high percentage of users have been in your place.

Once negative action is taken against accounts, it can be fatal.

You must now protect the account. It could be a good time to consider making back up accounts.

Of all things I can say to you, listen to this one.
Only ever trust ebay to hurt you. Never trust them to be nice

Because I've been there.

My original account was over 8 years old, TRS, PS and over 7,000 f/b but when it came to the crunch and e/b decided they did not want to do business with me anymore none of that was worth a hill of beans.

They are governed by their risk analysis and your account is now on that radar screen so be very, very careful on how you run it from now on.
