Default Other options for a bank account??

Hi, I just got of the phone with my bank because I put an application in for a new bank account for a new paypal account. They said that I'm going to have to come into the bank to set one up. The problem is that I need a paypal account set-up by the end of next week and it would take about 3 weeks to get my paypal account set-up. Is there any online websites that let you have a bank account online that I could use that it would be quick to set a bank account up?

The fastest UK account setup I have personally used is A Co-op basic saver account. You can apply online and aslong as you are on the electoral role you should receive you account in about 5 days

A bank account takes 20-30 min in house to set up. Most banks want proof of ID - why not get it done?

May take that time 'in-house' on a good day. Not like that in the UK right now.

Right at the present moment. the UK is nearly snowed under.

Regarding just the Liverpool area, traffic for a distance of 25 miles was taking drivers some 2 hours for a one way journey.

So two hours to the bank

30 minutes in the bank

And a drive home..... not as ideal as you suggest.

Chances of a 5 hour venture may not be convenient.

Maybe it snows differently in Canada?

Pish posh as you say in UK or whatever....banks will always accept business - you have to get there. Money NEVER sleeps.

I have trudged through 2-3 feet of snow just to ship packages - part of doing business (as an example)

Something is fishy here, why do you not want to walk through the doors?
