21 day holds question for UK accounts
 

does every new eBay account have the 21 day hold (payment hold until positive feedback is recieved) or is it done randomly.

I have created 20+ UK accounts over the last month and only 1 of them has the 21 day payment hold on funds

It is kind of random - lot of factors like source of buyer payment, type of article sold, etc - these factor into PP's equation.

For us mere mortals 21 day holds are now standard procedure on the vast majority of e/b sales into a new p/p account.

Perhaps your sales are off e/b?

21 day holds will be the death of me.

Especially when all my accounts start with a 25 allowance without adding a bank....

I have the Midas touch as well... no holds on any new accounts for over 6 months.

After loads of practice, it seems to come down to the way in which I setup the accounts.

Best method I use is to create the eBay account first, then go back and turn it into a seller account and at that point sign up for PayPal. This has been working 99% of the time for me.

Each account I have setup on a clean virtual windows Xp machine with a different ID
