Default How to avoid 21 holds.

Hey guys,

Can you share couple methods with me on how to avoid 21 day holds (US/UK accounts). I heard that positive feedback from buyer will release your money right away. Is that true? Is there any other methods as well?

Also, is there any to register UK seller account on ebay without 1$ credit card verification? Seems like I can attach my credit cards only to US accounts without being 1$ verified.

You can't avoid fund holding unless you establish a good standing ebay account.
However, US accounts can get money releases sooner if delivery confirmed by en or buyer left a positive feedback.

this is strange
ive been back on ebay 10 days ive got only 2 feedback for selling 1.99 items
both of these payments got put on hold for the 21 day hold period
now ive got the feedback for them and recently ive sold something for 80 and 100 pounds and both of these the funds have been released straight away.
it seems as tho i dont have a 21 day hold anymore if tho ive only been back on 10 days

Sometimes it does happen like you say schris142.

However as quick as they can go , they can come back just as quick if you dont ship fast etc.

Best thing to do if you dont want holds, create accounts well in advance - make a sale and let it sit for 60-90 days and shouldnt have holds after that, this is my own personal experience.

@igotsuspended,

Why don't you think it could work for the USA?

Be interesting to hear

You need to wait 90 days after your first sale and this should apply to all accounts. If this isn't the case for you then I can only assume that PayPal put the hold back on some time after that.

tsmt, edit the listing and look under the payment address section... if it mentions holds then you have holds. If it only mentions that funds settlement "may be delayed", you have no holds.

I hate the holds.

I can't sell unless I can withdraw the money before I ship. Also finding an account that's an 04 with unlimited selling allowance helps too.

Shifted all my stock in a few days and withdrawn. .

Not sooooooooo long ago

i used to just keep adding and removing bnk account every withdrawal to make the limits alot less limitess if ya know what i mean.

Sometime get the odd one held as oppose to getting the odd one released.

ones that get held you can get released 3 days after sending it wether its been delivered or not as long as you have tracking.

Do see the point in them if you can get round them so easy anyway

^^^^^ correct

why dont people just prepare their accounts to sell for 3 months or more,
sell and get feedback up, sell stuff you do not need the money for low value stuff. What is the hurry.

What is the point of 21days HOLD.

Whoever has any MONEY held for more then 3days are not doing it correctly.

i have said in a good few threads.....you send the item...keep the tracking....Contact ebay 3 days after you SENT the item and funds will be released REGARDLESS of if they have been DELIVERED or NOT.

Some packages i send around the world can take 5-10 days to reach the destination......The money is usually released well before the items reach there destination.

i mean in the u.k under the old system...It used to take 3-4 sometimes more days for you money to reach the bank

Now it take you 3 days for PP to release it and 2-3 hours to reach the bank.

Whats so bad ?

Actually this isnt correct, on several occasions and several accounts,
I have submitted tracking to paypal and they have said the tracking has to show as delivered for 3 days, so they can check the post office matches the region on the buyers address.
