Paypal rolling reserve 10% for 60 days

Well I have been stuck with the rolling reserve of 10% for 60 days for the past 4 months. When I hit the reserve, they said they will review it in 6 months.

Has anyone had their reviewed and lowered, taken off completely or got worse?

Didn't know they still gave people these. Kind of funny you bring this up because I had one on a PayPal that just went away last week. I had it for like 3+ years before it just went away. It is kind of a drag but for the most part I was just thankful I was going to get the money and was still able to sell with eBay/PayPal. If you experience is anything like mine it takes forever to go away.

It is a hit or miss with these.

Do you have backups so the cash flow can continue from different accounts?

To be honest, if it is a Stealth account you should always have at least 10% to cover charge backs and fees anyways. It is a pain but this is really something most sellers should be doing anyways. Especially stealth users because if you get in a jam you can't upload funds from you bank to PayPal to cover those costs.

Only two of our Uk accounts got the rolling reserve.

They were like a painful pregnancy...9 months of pain.

Cleared as of last October.

Fingers crossed gone

GreenBeam you are awesome, but is that why I finally got my reserve taken away a week or so ago? Even with the 20k US IRS 1099k reg I was still stuck with the Rolling Reserve on that account for 2+ years (since new IRS laws) over 3 years total.

yeah i have a back up account with no ebay limits or pp holds.

Stigger 03-23-2013 10:09 PM

you attached a website to the pp or trading off eby ?

yes i have had them removed...just keep you nose clean and they will disappear.

had a few accounts with these limits ....some higher for longer....thats not a bad one at all.

PP business account ?

Doesn't usually happen with personal PP accounts.

Also worth looking at spreading sales among other accounts
