Why does every Paypal withdrawal take 72 hours to clear?
 

Paypal have got worse at prolonging the nightmare of getting money from them. My current Paypal account now takes a minimum of 72 hours for each withdrawal to clear into my bank account - and thats after I've had the 21 day hold on each payment - no amount of positive feedback or adding tracking details seems to make a jot of difference to Paypal releasing my payments early.

I preferred it a year or so ago when you could pay £5 and have your money the next day instead of having to wait 72 hours, i.e, 3 full days. I realise that I'm selling on a new account, but does the situation improve after a few months at all?

Once you get that account established your withdrawals will be instant.

All my stealth accounts now have instant withdrawal. It says within 2 hours but by the time I login to my online banking the money is there. Even bank holidays and weekends are instant.

Takes a couple of months and then like Ebayorbust say, withdraws are instant. Also helps if the PP is fully verified.

Soon as PayPal likes the account funds get through with instant transfer.

I love my Uk accounts that withdraw in 2 hours.
My Thai accounts take 7 - 10 DAYS! And can be longer if there's been a bank holiday as there was this week.

Ah, right, I was hoping it was simply because my account is new that I was having these ridiculous delays. I thought Paypal had gone back to the bad old days of withdrawals taking a full 7 working days to clear etc. On my other stealth account the withdrawals say they will take up to 2 hours, but as Ebayorbust has mentioned by the time I log into my online bank account the money is already there.

I think this time I am going to try and get a few stealth accounts going all at the same time, I'm just intimidated by the prospect of linking them and losing them all, plus the amount of data there is to organise just with one stealth account, never mind a few of them.

I do keep all my details in an Excel file, but I still cant grasp running various different Windows user account on my laptop. Everytime I log into a new user account none of my programs are there and it asks me to set up each one as if I'm running a new PC. I think I'm getting confused somewhere along the line because it surely cant be this complicated...?

No, it is not that complicated.

Make sure you set it as a administrator account. All the program will then be usable form the new user account.

I have a separate hard drive that I pop into my laptop and use. I then label all my user accounts A1, A2, A3 ect. I then store all the data on user account A0, which can be accessed from all the other A accounts, but that is severed from the internet itself. All my Gmail accounts forward all email across to one single Gmail account that I use to keep track of sales, each EB account then is nicknamed A1, A2 ect to correlated with the user account it is registered to. Makes tracking everything pretty simple.

Yes the same lots of my accounts say 2 hours but 2 minutes later it is sitting in my account.

Makes business and cashflow so much easier!

How old are your accounts that have quick transfer time??

Accounts vary in age from a few months to several years.

Please note that this is UK paypal / banking we are talking about.

UK banking system underwent some ( overdue) changes.

By-product was paypal was forced into allowing UK account holders a quicker time to get funds.

Paypal became very inventive with their subsequent "24 hour" / "72 hour" / "you're not getting your money now" security reviews.

The accounts I have range from 6 months to 2 years old (and still running smooth!) I must be doing something right :D

My withdrawals have gone from 2 to 72 hrs as I had a scammer file a claim on my account.

Not so bothered though, if I withdraw money daily then it'll still come through daily.
