Add Credit or Debit Card to Paypal

I've an account which I intend to keep as long as possible, Can I add a Add my own Credit or Debit Card to confirm paypal or does it have to be vcc ?? Do they like to match the names on cards not bank accounts ??

Many Thanks

If it is a stealth account, it has to be a VCC. Names always have to match on real life cards.

Bank accounts they do not, although there are exception. Never let PP withdraw from your bank account

If that is your aim ( the bold type) avoid using the bank issued cards.

Go for the vcc. That gives you a better layer of stealth protection.

Good Luck

Re: Add Credit or Debit Card to Paypal

May I ask a question or two on this subject please.

I've just been asked to provide a credit or debit card.

1) Do Paypal match up the name on the entropay account?

2) When signing up for an Entropay account do I use my personal details, or my stealth details?

3) It is better to buy a VCC from someone on here, who knows what they're doing when it comes to these things, or open an account myself?

Many thanks for your help.

Re: Add Credit or Debit Card to Paypal

Further to our discussion via PM, I think you will find Entropay won't work for that limitation. I don't know what card will, but I and several other members have had issues using Entropay with that particular limitation.

Before anyone jumps in and claims Entropay DOES work with UK Paypal - yes, it does. The issue was with this specific "Confirm Location" limitation.

If Entropay does now work, please update the thread. :)

Re: Add Credit or Debit Card to Paypal

This is the email I got from Paypal. Changed the address on eBay yesterday afternoon, then got this this morning.

Dear

Recently, there's been activity in your PayPal account that seems unusual compared to your normal account activities. Please log in to PayPal to confirm your identity and update your password and security questions.
To help protect your account, no one can send money or withdraw money. In addition, no one can close your account, send refunds, remove any bank accounts, or remove credit cards.

What's going on?

We're concerned that someone is using your PayPal account without your knowledge. Recent activity on your account seems to have occurred from a suspicious location or under circumstances that may be different to usual.

What to do

Log in to your PayPal account as soon as possible. We may ask you to confirm information you provided when you created your account to make sure you're the account holder. We'll then ask you to change your password and security questions.
You should also do the following for your own protection:
• Check your account details (address, email, phone, etc.) to make sure they're accurate.
• Review your account activity to make sure you recognise the transactions made recently.
• Report any unknown or unauthorised activity. Go to the Resolution Centre and click Dispute a Transaction.
What's next?
Once you've completed all the tasks, we'll respond within 72 hours.
If you need help or have any questions, call us on 0800 358 7911, 8:00 am – 10:00 pm Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm Saturday; 9:00 am – 9:00 pm Sunday, For Claims or limitations, hours of service are: 8:00 am – 8:30 pm Monday through Friday; 8:00 am – 6:30 pm Saturday; 9:00 am – 6:30 pm Sunday.
Yours sincerely,
PayPal
