I don't think this is a glitch. I think this is going to become part of the bank verification process on UK Paypal and is in it's "trial" phase.

It really isn't an issue. It's an automated call with the usual 4-digit pin. No actual Paypal employee wants to speak with you.

but there isnt any option to do an automated verification

i think they unfortunately need a call

i called them and they added it manually, they said indeed there are some technical issues at the moment. thought id let you all know
