Asking Paypal to release payments after positive feedback left.

I dont know if anyones noticed but I made a couple of posts a while ago about Paypal still holding my payments under the 21 day payment hold, even though I'd supplied tracking number and buyers had left positive feedback. Well I plucked up my courage and for the first time I actually RANG paypal customer services which I've always dreaded before.

I made sure I was calling from a withheld number and I had my 'Stealth' details Excel file in front of me in case I was asked any security questions -which they did! Anyway I am pleased to say the foreign sounding chap I spoke to at Paypal customer services was incredibly helpful and he sorted everything out for me while I was on the phone, he manually released the hold from the payments that should have been released automatically and I was then straight away able to transfer the money immediately to my bank account.

So if anyone else is having the same problem waiting on Paypal payments to be released when they havent been, dont be afraid to call Paypal, just make sure you dont accidentally give them the wrong name / phone number etc... Happy days!

Yea I hate calling because sometimes a nice helpful rep is not online and the call could go the opposite way but great job!!

Congrats. Just down to if people are willing to take the risk. Sometimes you can get the really grumpy unhelpful employee. I generally just wait it out the 3 weeks, as much of a pain as it is.

I call them quite a lot. The only security question they've ever asked me it's my name! I go prepared though. What questions are they asking you?

Have your mobile phone handy.

Have the sound of a baby screaming. ( or other suitable disturbing noises)

Play it for a few seconds & excuse your self from the phone call saying you have an emergency.

Wait and try later ( or wait the 21 days)
