Help Lifting receiving limits

I'm trying to lift my receiving limits on a UK business account i have created.

I have sent in the company information they have asked, however it's been stuck on this for over a week now and my limits have not changed?

I'm selling a service where 2 payments and i'll reach the limit.

So i need it quickly lifted..

is this something new paypal are doing? keeping you with a limit until you have reached it?

I phoned up and asked paypal how to lift the limit "acting dumb" however the guy told me, (not very bright sounding) i can still accept payments and then we'll look at reviewing your account.

It simply sounded like he wanted to me accept payments asap and then review my account, i aint risking taking in £2k and then those twats limiting me!

Should i phone paypal again and try and get someone else to look at my account? or do i just wait?

you will not make it with an account starting like that. Paypal is a building trust business. your limits wont matter because they will limit the account anyway within minutes with those size of payments to start out.

You need to start slow or if you have to get in large payments, try to get an aged account or buy an aged account and run a couple smaller transactions through it first.

UK Paypal are extremely slow at reviewing documents at the moment. I have been waiting 10 days on one account now.

Well my service do cost above £500+ and thats the cheap end of the service.

Maybe an aged account is something i need to look at.

The guy told me on the phone that i can start sending and recieving money now and then they review my account. never came across this before when i've always created a new account they get it sorted and limits are lifted after a few days.

If i just leave the account, would they lift the limits after x amount of days without me accepting payments?

They'll get round to reviewing them at some point. People close to the their limit definitely do take priority over those that have taken nothing. This have been my experience recently.
