Woohoo! New issue.

Hi all,

Was happy that a few items fetched good prices. Wanted to withdraw this morning, but.....

Here's a new one:
Something about "PP stuck in a redirect loop".

Un-effin-believable!

Sounds like a glitch. There seem to be a LOT of glitches with PayPal lately. Usually, they are quickly solved, although it IS a pain in the you-know-what.

ROFL! I don't know if I want to laugh or cry. I purposely kept extra in PP so as to not spend it - there are a lot of birthdays in Sep.

But..... this had to happen. It's like PP times these s**t to really wind me up - lol.

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

I make sure I get everything out of Paypal I don't treat it like a bank that's for sure just a stopping ground for my funds, I think I got it down after 9 months no limitations , on some accounts ill make 3 withdrawals a day if its a busy account, I just leave fees and a couple returns in there .

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Just tried myself and have been able to withdraw (only tried a small amount though)

No glitches for me (thankfully)

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

When I wanted to withdraw, it asked the security questions. After inputting, I clicked, then it went to that redirect loop error.

I tried on another PP account. Logged in. Added a bank account. It asked for security questions. Same result.

What a joke!

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

I did have something similar to this a few weeks ago when I was trying to add a bank account.

PP kept getting me to confirm my mobile number, then asking me to log in and then confirm my mobile number again.

I solved it by giving them a ring and getting them to manually add it after having left it for 24 hours, then 48 hours and then 72 hours.

The things is.....

It goes to a page that says "redirect loop....". This should be an error on their end. Something like Error 404, when the web server can't fetch a page as there isn't one.

Issue is they are not trained to recognise there is an error.

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

FYI.....

I called and got my withdrawal processed.

He told me that it's not a "bug" per se. It's a new security feature - lol. What feature, I asked? Basically, actions that require security features, where it asks for security questions/call, are stopped, and you need to call CS. LOL. Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger.

Edit:
It's all about rolling out their new website. Try creating a new PP account. You will see a totally new screen.

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

Well, the problem is still there. I wanted to withdraw more, so logged in and went to withdraw. Again, it asked me for security questions. I know I keyed them in correctly, but upon clicking to continue, it doesn't proceed but instead, gives me this "redirect loop" page.

Looks like I have to call them again.

And..... looks like this new issue is here to stay.

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

did you just receive the money, was it a 'too soon' security measure?

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

Is anyone else still having these problems? I withdrew £350 on the 30th of December & it said completed straight away & was in my bank within a couple of hours

Maybe you tried to withdraw too soon after the sale(s)? I can't see everyone having to ring in when withdrawing. Think how many people withdraw a day! I doubt PayPal would have time to speak to every single person

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

What's the problem? Saying that it complete right away and you get the money in your bank in a few hours? That's not a problem I would say...

Re: Woohoo! New issue.

No I'm not saying that's a problem, it's great. Sorry for not being clear. I meant the "PP stuck in a redirect loop" the OP was on about

I was just wondering if anyone else had them issues lately as it might depend on how quick you withdraw & how old your account is etc
