Is Lloyds the only bank in the UK which is impractical for stealth paypal?

As the title, is Lloyds the only bank impractical for Paypal stealth accounts, or are there others too? If anybody can share their experiences with natwest and HSBC would be grateful.

Natwest and HSBC are good

Cardonebanking should be avoided.

Rubbish

That is an opinion not a reason

We have proof of Lloyds making serious issues for its customers this was long before you even joined the forum

Accounts got closed by them and PayPal limited accounts because of bad business practices

Not a bank for stealth

Re: Is Lloyds the only bank in the UK which is impractical for stealth paypal?

I have got 1 stealth operating with TSB without any problems so far. It's a basic account, opened post split, and I had to open it in the branch.

I have made 2 withdrawals to it, £140 in total. The eb account is not quite 2 months old and have sold my limit of 10 items per month, nothing expensive. The pp account is verified and I sent the docs to lift the limits in earlier this week and had the good news today to say the limits have been lifted. I have a VCC attached to it and NOT the debit card for the TSB account.

So far, so good. Any problems, I will let you all know.

Have you got a total name mismatch for deposits, or a variation?

Completely different name. I only operate 1 account with a name variation and that's with Halifax.

I've got a stealth linked with tsb too, didn't even know there were problems with this bank, I created my stealth and linked bank when It was still Lloyd's tsb and now it's split I'm with tsb,

My account is 72 days old and I've withdrawn 2x £50 and 1x £100 without any problems, paypal is fully verified with limits removed and 21 day hold has been removed, I used a name variation too.

I still think this should be avoided - frequent withdrawals under a complete mismatched name will cause problems. Avoid.

Re: Is Lloyds the only bank in the UK which is impractical for stealth paypal?

If its still up and running in 6 months after having passed the £1900 and the limits have been listed then there may be something to it. Until then, it would be best avoided.

There are differing opinions regarding TSB and Lloyds.
Can you not open another bank account that is proven at the present time, to be good for stealth

I use both. Have used Lloyds for about 2 years I think. TSB since the week of the split.

Re: Is Lloyds the only bank in the UK which is impractical for stealth paypal?

I have a TSB basic account that I have been using successfully on one of my stealth accounts for 14 months now. So far, I have had no problems. I had to go into the local branch to open it as it was not available online. They asked why I wanted an account and I told them for everyday use and would be transferring money in from another account for this as well money from 'bits' that I sell on EB and AZ to pay for my holiday. They were happy with that and I had the account number and sort code straight away.

I have a Lloyds account on a different stealth PP and that seems ok but I have only been selling personal stuff I no longer want or need on that EB account, building it slowly. I will add a different bank to the PP in the new year when I start to use the EB for proper selling though as I just have that nagging feeling in the back of my mind about Lloyds.

Nothing but success with HSBC - some accounts/branches may have deposit/minimum balance requirements however

Easy to have success if it's the only bank used.

You appear to have missed reports in the past weeks of delays with HSBC transfers...

Possibly missed the reports - I havent had delays but I don't do regular withdrawals plus I rarely complain about delays when I do experience them.

My approach is like has money come? Yes - ok next task :)
