Buyer wants me to ship item to his country. Opened case, he closed it.

Apologies for this folks, had another issue crop up. Sold an item, i stated specifically on the selling page i dont ship out of UK and it will be sent via Royal Mail (They dont ship to Republic of Ireland).

Buyer bought the item and asked me to send invoice. I explained everything to the buyer and he didnt budge. I opened a case saying i want to cancel transaction he denied it and it states i cant receive final value credit. Now what happens? I will not be shipping overseas, due to security reasons.

Do not accept payment.

If he is demanding an invoice, do not send it.

It sounds like he cannot pay because you do not ship to their country.

I would avoid opening an non payment case only because it might enable him to pay.

If you feel you cannot get out of this the other ways, report him.

Another option is to charge a HORRENDOUS amount for shipping to their country so they would NOT want to pay.

I would wait for others to chime in.

As far as this dispute goes, you may have to take the negative and not deliver product. Or as cjmixers mentions, adjust the invoice to reflect the cost to ship to his country.

Going forward (to avoid this from repeating)...

Even though it is stated you don't ship internationally, I'm surprised you don't block this to prevent people from trying to ship outside of your country.

When you create a listing, there is an option if you want to ship Internationally.

There are countries (and entire continents) you can choose to put in your exclusion list.

There's also an option to do this under Site Preferences > Selling Preferences > Shipping Preferences. Why not do this to prevent it going forward?

Is that a definite? I'm starting to think it is because he hasn't even paid yet..(didnt send him the invoice).

I'm going to have to open a non-payment case in a couple of days i guess, or else i wouldnt receive my final value fee credit.

It isn't definite, but it does seem that way.

So what I would do:

Send him the invoice with like $600 in shipping. (Seriously do that)

Then, he will most likely NOT pay and you can open a case against him, get your fees back and block him.

Customers in Eire can succeed in bidding sometimes.

Would you recommend adding a £100.00 postage fee? Do advise.

Sadly, no real way of getting the FVF back - cjmixers advice does have some weight...increase the postage fee to cover shipping, tracking AND signature then
