| | | amysworld | 12-29-2013 03:18 PM | Bank Accounts dried up - what now I've got one stealth ebay/paypal open but now i want a backup 2nd stealth a/c problem is i have no other bank account to use. are there any virtual bank accounts that can be used? |
Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now Open another account. Could be with same bank or a different.
There is vba's, but unsure for UK. But they are not preferable anyway. 2nd bank account will be much easier. |
| BiN4RY | 12-29-2013 03:28 PM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now There's no VBAs for UK.
You'll have to open up another bank account with your current bank or another bank. |
Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now Hit the search button and search for banks that are good with stealth. Many threads in the forum about that.
Pick one or more that are available, near for you and have a couple accounts opened. That should get you covered
Always a great idea having backup:) |
| natbabes | 12-29-2013 04:01 PM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now I'm with CO-OP which is great for stealth
They accept miss matched names which is a must
I applied online for a current account, i was accepted & all my details arrived in the post about a week later :) |

Best option is to open more bank accounts
Make sure you do not open too many too fast. |

| amysworld | 01-04-2014 10:37 AM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now Are you able to open up additional accounts on the go through online banking or would you have to go to the bank and request any additional accounts.
I think HSBC allow you to open up additional accounts on the go through online banking.
The main problem is its very difficult to open up new accounts as and when needed with different bank - they do a credit and check.
I was recently refused a new account with RBS:mad:
Problem for me and others in the UK is what do you do once your accounts are dried up - we should have a way to open accounts on the 'fly' to so speak.
I mean you could get a USA IP and then open a VBA - but if your not 100% sure what your doing this could backfire. |

| Bank accounts are precious and using them correctly is important. If you are burning through accounts you are doing something terribly wrong.
3-4 accounts with 1 bank is OK. There is a list as long as my arm for banks - hunt the forum. You could easily have 100 ebay accounts if you wanted. |

i'm with natwest that seems o.k so far but need a few more backup accounts | Register for online banking with natwest and you can then go online and open 5 saver accounts and link each one to a different stealth account, easy! |

| natbabes | 01-05-2014 08:21 PM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now I've got 2 stealth accounts up & running at the mo & i use co operative on them both. Never had a problem
& like JamesNorth101 said, the bank account MUST be in your real name & address. You'd be a bit stupid to think otherwise as it is of course committing fraud :s |
| Kelly441 | 01-05-2014 09:38 PM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now So thier is such a thing as a virtual bank account in the US that works with stealth? |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-06-2014 04:27 AM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now Yes, in the US you can get a VBA to verify your PP, but they generally cannot be withdrawn to. |
| tigerbaby328 | 01-06-2014 07:27 AM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now Just a silly question here as I'm not fully into this Stealth act thing yet. My suspension is linked to a RBS current account, so technically can I open a stealth account using my RBS savings accounts?
I can access all the bank accounts online under the same username and password but only the current account was used for eBay so in theory the savings can be used, yes or no?
Thanks. |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-06-2014 07:37 AM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now Saving accounts are not the best to use for PP unless they accept DD mandates.
So long as the account number is different then your fine in using an account from the same bank |

| ripro | 01-11-2014 09:43 AM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now I've got acc's with Co-op and Smile(part of Co-op) and have to gues that they are very good.Did apply online and got all docs by post, the same with Halifax,Santander and Natwest. |
| Dazzler87 | 01-14-2014 03:06 PM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now I use tsb, Halifax and Santander saver accounts they all work fine for me. |
| Rach69 | 01-15-2014 09:13 AM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now I've got a Barclays Saver (in my real name and address) attached to my stealth account. I was always under the impression that if the account is receiving payments from paypal (as opposed to anyone trying to take money out) then it wouldn't matter if the name on the paypal account doesn't match the bank account - and this seems to be true so far.
A few weeks ago, I got a bit carried away and paypal had to take some money out of the linked bank account - which in theory shouldn't happen, surely Barclays should have spotted the mismatched name?? But I was lucky, nothing seems to have happened and everything is running as normal. |

The name can be completely different. |
| Forcefire | 02-02-2014 08:20 PM | Re: Bank Accounts dried up - what now Is Co-Op bank still really good for mismatch name deposits from a PayPal account?
I will have 1 stealth so the name will always be the same
Thank you |
