paypal UK requiring more details to login ? SSN !?
 

just tried to login my paypal uk account, but it doesn't go directly to my paypal account. instead it asks me to provide all my details again, i.e. name, address, dob, bank details, cc details, and even social security number !!!

has anyone else had that ?
how can we get around that ?

i actually had a notice from paypal a few weeks ago asking me to verify my address etc. but i had 6 months to do that, not just 2 weeks...

i don't think it's a fraud site as it still says www.paypal.com in the browser head. or is it fraud?

Did you type paypal.com into your browser's address bar or did you click on a link in an e-mail?
Never click on a link in an e-mail to access any financial or PP account.

If you delete cookies and flash cookies, they really don't have any way of telling that it's you logging in - so they could just be trying to verify it's you. This is why I recommend separate Windows User Accounts.

typed in paypal.com, it seemed a genuine paypal site and i have definately deleted all cookies with ccleaner before logging in.

edit: was just a "normal" limitation I think, now I just need to provide proof of address and wait for the letter...

Steve... U mentioned it was asking for your social security number.. surely only the ham shanks have them.. were tagged with NI numbers..?>

We don't have SSNs over here do we?

Its Fraud or you are doing something wrong, as we dont have SSN in the UK

yeah i know, i think I was on the paypal US site somehow, not sure.
But it's resolved now. I just had to change my address and now wait for verification letter...
