It beggars belief how someone can consider this a useful post!
In the UK, credit information remains on file for 6 years. There is no "magic bullet". You wait 6 years for negative info to drop off your credit file. Also, you make sure you are on time with current/existing payments.
It really is utter nonsense. No respectable employer would insist on a credit check. Why? You can challenge it in court - and win!
Consider the following. You have a mortgage. You are made redundant. Many people were during the Great Recession / Credit Crunch. You lose your home. You get a default and CCJ on your credit file.
Then, the economy improves. You are a qualified person, you get an interview, that leads to an offer. Now, is the employer going to reject you because you have a CCJ on your credit file, which was a direct result of an economic downturn? |
