savers account added to UK paypal issues

Hello, it been 2 weeks since I purchased a stealth account on the forum, and I added my bank account as advised, which is a saver account with Barclays Bank.
But today I received this email from paypal:

Your bank has let us know that you can’t use your bank account ending in 3420 to fund PayPal payments. If you already have a card linked to your PayPal account, we’ll use it to fund your future payments.

"How to make future payments with PayPal"

If you don’t already have another bank or card linked to your PayPal account, you need to add one to fund your future payments. To link a card or bank, log in to your PayPal account
www.paypal.com/uk
https://www.paypal.com/uk/, go to ‘Profile’ and then click ‘My Money’.

Yours sincerely,

PayPal

PLEASE HELP! WHAT CAN I DO? ALL OTHER ACCOUNTS I HAVE, ALREADY BEEN USED ON PAYPAL. ANY ADVICE WILL BE APPRECIATED.
THANK YOU.

Re: Please help me!!!

It's because it's a saver account, the direct debit mandate submitted will have been rejected. Savings accounts do not support dd mandate.

If the bank account is still attached to Paypal (it probably is) then it will still be okay to withdraw to the bank account.

If it has been removed, wait 7 days and re-attach it but do NOT submit a new dd mandate. If needed send me a PM and I'll tell you how to do it so you don't need to submit the mandate.

You should NEVER use any bank as a funding source on Paypal as it reveals the real name on the bank account.

Re: Please help me!!!

I have it on 2 of my accounts and if i want to buy something i just pay by card.
Mine have never been removed off of paypal.

Your bank has told paypal it is a savings account, which don't allow direct debits.

Get yourself a Visa gift card.

Or pay by card?

The funding source on any specific payment can always be changed.

The default funding source is the Paypal balance.

Always better to check as much as possible before touching stealth accounts.

Provided you follow Ebayorbust's advice, you should be fine.

Re: savers account added to UK paypal issues

how can i make the gift card primary source of funding? is there an options where it says primary source of funding? or I just leave it like that and pay my fees with paypal balance?

If you are wanting to pay fees, it is best to do it from the Paypal funds.

When you go to make a payment, be it paying fees or purchasing something, there is a summary screen which shows the funding source. If you have cleared funds in the Paypal account it should always show as "Paypal Balance".
