| | | | | jenupy2j | 05-14-2014 11:31 AM | Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction This is a repeat post from earlier which I asked to be removed since it had my paypal transaction ID.
My paypal has been limited , asking for supplier information, reason for increase in payments etc etc. I can deal with that as i have had the same limitation in another account previously.
However this time they are asking for another information. It is basically regarding a transaction which i "sent money" from my other paypal account. The amount was £5k.
They want more details about the transaction.
Here is the email :
Provide additional information regarding the following transactions:
* * Transaction ID: XXXXXXXX
To proceed with the investigation of these transactions, you must submit
the following information to us:
* * · A full description of the item or service the buyer is paying for.
* * · The venue or URL where the item or service is advertised or
described.
* * · Confirmation that you performed the service or delivered the item
you have received payment for. Provide tracking if you posted the item.
* * · If you have not delivered the item or performed the service for your
buyer, please provide the date you anticipate performance of the service or
delivery of the item.
* * · Any information regarding the relationship or business affiliation
you may have with the above party(ies).
* * · Any email or written communication which confirms the details you've
provided to PayPal regarding the above transactions.
What information can i provide them without linking these two accounts?
What do I tell them about the transaction? Personal transfer from my friend? or for business purposes? Paypal transaction shows my other account's business name, no description of payment. |

| jenupy2j | 05-15-2014 05:55 AM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction With Regards to tracking information, I can get a Royal mail tracking number signed and printed in the name of the person I got the money from... ? |
| Bunneh | 05-15-2014 06:11 AM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Just send an empty letter signed for to the address on the relevant paypal account.
They do check the royal mail site and the address. |
| Jetplanes | 05-15-2014 06:36 AM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Seriously OP, what were you thinking? Even with your account fully verified sending 5k in one shot will never go down. They will look into that amount/ flag it almost everytime.
And they probably going to ask for supplier info at some point. I'd get as most docs together and call in. Good luck |
| jenupy2j | 05-15-2014 09:18 AM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction I could call in but my worry is that, if in any way they find a link between both my accounts, they will limit both & I dont want that to happen to my other account as it is an old account with unlimited selling restrictions. |
| Callidus | 05-15-2014 09:42 AM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction well you shouldn't of sent £5k to it in the first place. If you do nothing they will stay restricted, you have no other way out of this but to get everything together, get your story straight and call! |
| Bunneh | 05-15-2014 10:42 AM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction To paypal it is risky/ suspicious already which is why you have this problem to start with.
They do this based on risk to them... and of course money laundering!
There is no way to avoid the linking if you have already been linked.
Did you use the same info on both accounts? What makes you think you are linked? |

Any ideas what i could tell them? |

with them you are guilty before being proven innocent.
Did you send it as a gift by any chance? |
| jenupy2j | 05-15-2014 01:29 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Yes, I sent it as a gift. Although paypal is still asking me details about the transaction as though it is a transfer for business purposes?
Have a look at the screenshot of the transaction : View image: screenshot |
| Ebayorbust | 05-15-2014 01:34 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction You had to have the original thread removed because you posted personal info on it.
Do you realise you've just done it again? |
| jenupy2j | 05-15-2014 01:35 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Lol I think I have cut out all the personal information now! |
| Bunneh | 05-15-2014 01:36 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction well from the looks of it, you can still issue a refund to your other account if all else fails.. |
| jenupy2j | 05-15-2014 01:40 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Could do, but the thing is I don't have about 2.8K in the limited account, so a refund of 5K would be done from my bank, another issue here is the bank accounts on both these accounts are the same banks used,
Main account and savers account! |
| Bunneh | 05-15-2014 01:47 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Also you do not have to refund the full amount.
You can choose the amount to refund. |
| jenupy2j | 05-15-2014 01:51 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Right, I will try to refund then, do you know if I am able to refund in 2 or 3 times, say partial refund of 800 pounds each time? |
| jenupy2j | 05-18-2014 05:46 AM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Would it be safe to do a full refund? |
| pokerpro | 05-21-2014 03:09 PM | Re: Paypal limited asking for information about a transaction Wow...what a mess....I wouldn't transfer $1 between any of my paypal accounts, I'm sure you've learned your lesson. Hopefully you can come out of this alive. |
