Receving Limit Glitch

A few of my oldest PP accounts developed a glitch on creation.

One does not show a link to lift the receiving limit, and neither an upload link.

Two of them are the same except in the Resolution Centre a Yellow box appears asking for more information after I performed the Electoral Role check, however the link goes nowhere. It is obviously a glitch as it says "What can you do when your account is limited?" and there are all ticks alongside all the options.

I should add I have had no issues with any of these PP's at all none have ever been limited, they are all working fine. It is certainly a glitch. These few accounts were created in December 2012. None are near the £1900 limit.

Will a link appear once £1650 is reached and an email received asking to upload?

Just wondering how to deal with this as it is holding me back, as I do get nervous with the though of uploading docs to PP.

Re: Receving Limit Glitch

PP accounts created before a certain date do not need docs sending to lift limits. Not sure when this was introduced, but none off my older stealth acc's required docs to lift receiving limit. I would just sell to £1900 and see what happens, and I would assume they won't ask you for anything.

Thanks for the reply.

I think that will be my strategy.

Just wait and see I guess.

I've seen what you are describing a few times. It isn't a glitch.

It goes like this because you tried to lift the receiving limit but did not submit documents at the time. About 3 weeks after, the account goes like this. It allows you to continue using the account until you hit £1650 when they will then request docs.

If you don't plan on submitting docs immediately, don't click on the links.

Re: Receving Limit Glitch

When you try to lift the receiving limit and the electronic check fails for the second time, it now states:-

"Access to the money in your account has been limited until you provide Paypal with further information required. Complete the steps below to lift your limits."

After around three weeks if docs haven't been received and approved, they put the account into the "state" you are describing. The account is technically limited but there are no features unavailable and no steps to remove the limitation.

I've seen a few like this recently due to the appalling length of time it is taking them to do document reviews at the moment. As soon as the docs are approved everything goes back to "normal".

What is the lead time at the moment?

Up to 2 weeks?

Depends on whether you've passed £1650 or not. These accounts get given priority.

Other than that, the wait is about 21-23 days at the moment. Has been this way for a couple of weeks now. It happens from time to time probably due to staff holidays etc.
