Supplier Info

I source my main product internationally.
But I have a legit supplier in the UK and they sell very similar items (just not exactly the same).

To be prepared, if PayPal were to ask me for invoices and supplier details, would they accept just the UK one? Or would they expect supplier info for each and every different item I sell?

Are PayPal likely to ask the supplier if they sell these exact products? :suspicious:

Re: Supplier Info

you would probably get away with the uk supplier, but they may ask for an invoice, so depends what description is put on it. It is difficult to say without
knowing how the invoice is set out and how generic the descriptions are.

the supplier, does it have a website they can look up, with products on show? if so, that is probably the most they effort they would go to. nobody knows if they phone up. Also depends if there are vero issues etc....

No vero, all legit, unbranded items.
They're UK based and do have a website but you need to be registered with them and logged in to view their product line.

Descriptions for the UK items would be the same run-of-the-mill descriptions as I would give for the international items, as the product itself is the same.

The only details to change would be a different feature on each one, for example, the decoration on one would differ to the decoration on another.

Re: Supplier Info

Description on the invoice would detail the differences between one item to the next. For instance:

Item 1: 'This one is blue'
Item 2: 'This one is pink'
Item 2: This one is square shaped'

etc...

Re: Supplier Info

the invoice you have seems ok as it is, probably the less detail the better, you could just have the type of item and then a colour or shape or even jut a ref, eg type A, type B.

Re: Supplier Info

make sure each item has a unique item number and an order reference including the date of purchase, key to success of invoices.

Do they search item numbers on the supplier website?
If so, it'll lead them back to items that I'm not actually selling...

Anyone know how much trouble they go to in order to verify a supplier?

Re: Supplier Info

Difficult to estimate whether they will check YOUR supplier....they have checked other people's in the past but this is determined by PP...so there is no 100% answer (unless a forum member is on the inside :FF:)

Re: Supplier Info

I doubt they go to that much trouble, but if you can see the refs without logging in on the site, then they might too, even if it is a spot check....

They check as much as THEY want to see if the account stays up or goes down.
Always be prepared for that.

Thanks for clarifying. I think I know what I need to do ;)
I hope it'll be enough for them!
