Paypal A/C limited - Do I ring them?

Hi all.
I bought an ebay and Paypal account from one of the good people on this great forum. I had a zero feedback on my ebay and no money in my Paypal so I thought I should start with buying something from my ebay account so I sent #10 to the Paypal account from another Paypal account I had (different name) and shortly after, when I logged in to my Paypal account I got these messages:

our account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
 3 Jan 2014 : For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal service we need some more information about your account.
(Your case ID for this reason is*PP-002-869-401-523.)*

Account Type: Personal *Upgrade
Status: Verified
Account Limits: View Limits

Dear XXXX XXXX,

We recently noticed an issue with your account.

What's the problem?

We've recently noticed an unusual pattern of activity in your PayPal
account, which could indicate a high risk.

What I would like to know is shall I ring them? Does anyone know what the problem was why they limited my account?

Thank you in advance.

1. What are the steps that they demanded out of you to unlimit this if any?

2. Sending from 1 paypal to another must have been the cause of this. Don't do it anymore.

3. I don't think that you can lose anything from calling them at this point. BUT
do make sure that you have all the details of the account in front of you so that you can answer their questions.

4. Do you know how to operate stealth accounts correctly? One little mistake can and will cause limitations.

1. From what I copied and pasted in to a Word doc from my Paypal (months ago) I can't see any action it asks me to take. I could log in now and check but please see reply to question 4...

2. I will not do this again.

3. I do have all the answers ready (secret question's answer, date of birth, VCC number, etc)

4. I'm not sure if I'm 'up to date' but I plan to use a different user name on the same PC and I plan to restart my BT router before I ever log in to each account (I believe BT gives out a different dynamic IP address every time it is restarted?)

Please can I ask whether I should log in to my Paypal account now under a new tab and check what action, if any, they want me to take?

Sounds like the transaction has caused this.

It must ask you to either resolve the issue or it must say that this is a permanent limitation and cannot be appealed against....which is it?

Thank you again!

Am I okay to log in to my Paypal account to check which it is whilst this site is in my history...or am I being paranoid?

Re: Paypal A/C limited - Do I ring them?

Okay, I have just logged in and checked and on the summary page I get this:

We recently noticed an issue with your account. For information on what you can and can't do while your account is limited, go to the Resolution Centre.

Why is my account access limited?
Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
3 Jan 2014: For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal service we need some more information about your account.

This limitation cannot be appealed against.

However, when I click on 'Your account is still limited. Why?', I get this message:
Why is my account access limited?
Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
3 Jan 2014: For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal service we need some more information about your account.

It seems to be telling me firstly that I can't appeal and secondly, they need more information?

What can I do, please?

No! That does not work. Starting fresh with a new eBay and new PayPal is the correct stealth methods. :thumb:

No that would cause problems for the new PP in the long run. Either use other approved payment method for eB or/and make new stealth combo

PayPal HAS to be offered on UK eBay, the account is dead. Start from fresh OP.
