Receiving limits won't get removed

Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone had had problems with having receiving limits removed?

Ive sent my documents through on numerous occasions on a new account to have the limits removed but they seem to go ignored.

I sent them an email - still nothing

Am I the only one having this issue or have others also experienced similar issues?

They have been taking a while on accounts. They go through quicker if you have uploaded them when you hit the 1650 or 1900, anything before that there is a a fair wait

They are unreliable with their response times.

Just to clarify, did you ever get replies to the emails?

Or have you needed to send in the info again.

I wonder if you ever noticed that the documents were actually in the UK paypal system?

Been a couple of comments on this recently too.

I got the automation email every time saying this may help answer your query if it doesn't reply back to the email.

I replied to numerous emails only ever got a response once saying they will deal with my query within 48-72 hours

I left it for a week still nothing so uploaded my documents again, every time it says that your docs have been submitted and if they require further info will contact me but nothing!

How long has it been since you first submitted docs?

It is taking around 30-40 days at the moment.

I've been having a few issues too with this.

Submitted a Utility Bill, and after about a week, still nothing.

I've heard they can take up to a month, or even longer, just because it's PayPal.

They are taking a long time. If you get to 1650 or 1900 and submit they are VERY quick to be checked :)

Is it not better to have the limits removed soon after the account is created though?

Personal choice, some people have already added a bank account and would like to get up to £1900 out of it, then submit docs. Submitting them before isn't always a good idea especially if you want to sell straight away, if the docs were declined for any reason all the funds received from sales would be limited for 180 days. Unless you started refunding, but at that point it gets messy.

Uploaded documents for an account that is NOT reached yet the £1650/€2500 limit, will be reviewed within 30 days (no mention about if those days are "business" or "regular" days, tho).

If you reached that limit before the 30th day, the account is auto-limited (with some features disabled temporary) and then your account is being "prioritised" in order to be reviewed and completing the process within few days.

Some example:

On Aug 19 the account is being registered. On Aug 20 the docs are uploaded or faxed. The 30-day thing ends on Sept 19. Meanwhile the account have received till 10 Sept already those funds mentioned above (or based on PP predictions to be reached). The account is auto-limited and your account (if the docs were already uploaded) is being pushed into their queue system in order to be reviewed and completed within few business days only, and definitely this will be BEFORE Sept 19.

this is doable.

In fact, paypal even suggests doing this in its T&S.

You have to verify and confirm the paypal account before doing this, however.

I prefer to do this from the very start so am always ready to trade.
